Cornerstone for Synagogue Laid in German Town; Mayor Present

In this Moselle city also known under the name of Treves, the cornerstone for a modest new synagogue was laid by communal president Benno Suesskind. Local Jewish attorney Dr. Voremberg reminded the audience that Jews have lived here since Roman times. Lord Mayor Dr. Raskin described the cornerstone laying as an occasion for rejoicing by the entire city.
