The Jewish Agency office in Vienna has appealed to all Hungarian Jews who fled to Austria to immigrate to Israel, it was reported here today by Jewish Agency headquarters.
The call in Vienna told the Hungarian Jewish refugees “You saved your life, now turn your heart to Israel. Go to Israel, return to your true fatherland. Cease being dispersed among the nations. Call immediately at the immigration department of the Jewish Agency.”
Meanwhile, the Hebrew University here has informed Israeli consulates in Europe that the University is ready to welcome students and scholars among the Hungarian refugees and to do everything possible to help them continue their work.
