Possibly for the first time in a quarter century, a German court has jailed a bookseller for distributing anti-Semitic literature. The Stuttgart District Court imposed a three-month prison term on Erich Teich, operator of a mail order book service catering to a neo-Nazi clientele. Teich, a former county leader of the Nazi Party, was prosecuted for the sale of a Jew-baiting eulogy of Hider, entitled “Adolf Hitler: His Battle against the Negative Soul.” The government banned sale of the book a year ago, but Teich continued to advertise and sell it until his indictment.
