An agreement extending United States Government insurance for American investments in Israel to include protection against war damages was signed here today by Israeli Foreign Minister Mrs. Golda Meir and William Baxter, United States Charge d’Affaires.

The new agreement is an expansion of a 1952 pact by which the U.S. Government insured American investments against nationalization, expropriation and freezing of dollar earnings. The insurance is provided through the International Cooperation Administration’s foreign investment guarantee program.
