The existence of a special committee to combat Arab boycott measures against Jewish firms and against companies which deal with Israel was revealed here by John Dight, chairman of the Jewish Defense Committee. Members of the special unit include representatives of the committee, the Jewish Agency, Zionist Federation of Britain, the Trades Advisory Council and the Anglo-Israel Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Dight refused to provide any details of the committee’s operations, though he noted that several cases of “considerable importance and proportions have been settled to our satisfaction by this procedure.”
