The American Technion Society is a nationwide group composed of nearly 15.000 engineers, scientists, technologists and industrialists who provide financial, technical and consultative assistance to Israel’s only technological university. The establishment by the Philipp Brothers Foundation of a $100, 000 chair in Mining and Metallurgy at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, as a memorial to Arturo Gruenbaum, was announced today. The late Mr. Gruenbaum was a partner of Philipp Brothers for many years. The $100,000 gift was turned over to the American Technion Society.
