Syrian troops opened fire today on Israeli workers in fields adjacent to the Dardara settlement south of Lake Huleh.
The Syrians laid down a heavy rifle fire interspersed with machinegun bursts and mortar shells. Afterwards, sniping continued for some time. Two Israelis were wounded.
