A party of senior Israeli infantry officers is scheduled to leave this week on a training tour of the United States, Britain and France to acquaint themselves in the newest methods of infantry warfare training. The officers, headed by Col. Isachar Shadmi, assistant chief of the army’s training division, will introduce the latest Western training methods to Israeli foot soldiers.

An Israeli helicopter on a mission of mercy made a forced landing on a United States Navy carrier in the Mediterranean Sea this morning when it ran out of fuel. The Israeli plane was heading for the Israeli freighter Negbah which had a seriously injured seaman aboard. The helicopter was refueled by the carrier, took off and landed next to the freighter, some 20 miles from shore. It took the patient aboard and returned safely to this city where the seaman, with a fractured skull, was hospitalized.
