Continued vigilance against expanding Nasserism is reeded for Israel’s security, Abba Eban, Ambassador from Israel, last night told 3, 000 persons who jammed Carnegie Hall here to launch the 35th annual fund-raising campaign for Histadrut, the Israel Federation of Labor.
Mr. Eban came to the rally as a substitute for Mrs. Golda Meir, Israel Foreign Minister, who had to cancel her scheduled appearance because of a cold. Pledges on behalf of organized American labor to work for Israel’s security were voiced at the meeting by Joseph Schlossberg, national president of the Histadrut campaign, and Dov Biegun, national secretary.
