The 50th anniversary of the “Zionist Record” was celebrated here today with the publication of a special edition of the weekly reviewing the record of Zionist progress in the last half century, Jewish communal development and the history of the paper. The “Zionist Record” was launched as a monthly in 1908 and has since functioned as the official organ of the Zionist movement of South Africa. C. Gershater is editor of the publication.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
