Rabbi Moses Shatzkes, Professor of Talmud, and member of the Ordination Board of Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanon Theological Seminary since 1941, died yesterday at the age of 77. He was known to traditional Jews throughout the world as the “Lomzher Rav,” for his tenure as Rabbi of Lomza, Poland.
