Four Egyptian MIG-17 planes flew over southern Israel today and were forced back across the border by Israel fighter planes.
Military spokesmen reported that the Egyptian planes flew over an area south of Beersheba at 20,000 to 30,000 feet. There was no indication whether any air battle developed before the Egyptian planes were forced back.
