More than 500 Reform rabbis from all over the United States and Canada assembled at Mount Washington Hotel here for the five-day convention of the Central Conference of American Rabbis which starts here tomorrow.
Consideration of a formal guide for Reform Jewish religious practice will highlight the conference’s deliberations. In the entire history of its existence, American Reform Judaism has until now always operated without an official binding code. Convention sessions will also seek to answer the question "Who is a Jew?" and will examine the goals of Reform Jewish education.
