Income from a trust fund valued at $1,100,000 will be available for scholarships for Jewish students under administration of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, it was announced here today. The fund was created by Jerome M. Levie, a Chicago shoe manufacturer, and a sister and brother.
Net income from the Marcus and Theresa Levie Educational Fund will be used for scholarships “to aid worthy and desirable persons of Jewish faith in Cook County, Illinois, to acquire or complete their professional or vocational educations. The Federation board will name a special committee to administer the scholarship funds.
