Jacob R. Sensibar, of Chicago, noted engineer whose firm transformed 44,000 acres of marshes in northern Israel into productive farming areas, has been elected national president of the American Technion Society, it was announced today. Mr. Sensibar succeeds David Rose, who retired after four years in office.
The Society is a nationwide group composed of more than 15,000 engineers, scientists, technicians and industrialists which sponsors the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and helps to introduce modern technology into the economy of Israel. Sponsors of the Society include Nobel Laureates, university presidents and outstanding industrialists.
