About 15, 000 persons from 13 countries–many of them Jews–yesterday attended solemn ceremonies at Auschwits, Poland, commemorating the 15th anniversary of the liberation of that infamous Nazi concentration and death camp. In addition, about 20, 000 Poles, led by Prime Minister Josef Cyrankiewicn, participated in the ceremonies.

Mr. Cyrankiewicz, himself an Auschwits survivor, wept as he addressed the crowds, condemning the fact that “swastikas are still appearing on the walls of German towns.” Participants included a British delegation headed by Barnott Janner, president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews.
