The World Confederation of General Zionists headed by Mrs. Rose Halprin and Dr. Israel Goldstein has adopted a platform for submission to the World Zionist Congress in which it reiterated its conviction that “a policy of non-identification with any political party in Israel best serves the interest of Zionism.”

The conference here of 70 delegates from 28 countries defined the further aims of Zionism as “the unity of the Jewish people throughout the world, within which Israel occupies the central position.” It declared that “only by recognizing and supporting the World Zionist Organization can the interest of all the Jewish people, both inside and outside Israel, be fully served.”

The conference called for an intensification of Jewish education and approved all forms of immigration into Israel while stressing the need for technicians, specialists and middle-class elements. It stressed the need for special apparatus to meet the needs of Western immigrants and for abolition of the party key system in handling new immigrants.
