A paper on the development and decline of Spanish among Sephardic Jews will be presented by an American specialist on Sephardic culture at the Third Congress of Academies of the Spanish Language which opened today at Bogota, Colombia.

The paper will be delivered by Henry V, Besso, a member of the United States Information Agency staff here. He is attending the Congress as a representative of the Sephardic community at the special invitation of Father Felix Restrepo, president of the Colombian Academy of Spanish Language and as a guest of the Sephardic residents of Bogota. The Congress of Academies is a non-governmental body.

(From Buenos Aires it was reported to the JTA today that Dr. Moises Goldman, president of the executive of the South American World Jewish Congress, will propose to the Third Congress in Bogota the elimination of terms in Spanish dictionaries offensive to Jews.)
