Nasser Sends Military Mission to Ghana; Will Discuss Joint High Command

The United Arab Republic is sending this week a military mission to Ghana for the purpose of discussing the formation of a joint high command, it was reported here today from Ghana. The talks would also include the possibility of forming an all-African army.

Five hundred United Arab Republic troops are flying from Cairo to Leopoldville, in the Congo, tomorrow. United Nations Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold cabled President Nasser several days ago requesting the despatch of the troops to help him implement the Security Council’s resolution on the Congo.
