The Government of Morocco was disclosed today to have lifted a ban on sale in Morocco of the Jewish publication, L’Arche which has been in effect since last July. The ban was lifted after various interventions with officials by directors of the publication.
At the same time it was revealed today that the former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem paid a three-day visit to Morocco during which he discussed with King Hassan II the “Palestinian problem” and Moroccan aid “in the fight against Zionism;” During the visit of the ex-Mufti, a collaborator with the Nazis in the extermination of European Jewry, Moroccan newspapers, particularly those of the dominant Istiqial (Independence) party, devoted several articles to the Palestine problem and the Arab refugees.
