Convention of Conservative Synagogues Elects Maislen As President

The biennial convention of the United Synagogue of America, the congregational arm of the Conservative movement, today elected George Maislen, an attorney of Freeport N. Y., as president of the organization.

The convention also endorsed the creation of a Forester Village in the Freedom Forest of the Jewish National Fund in Israel, representing the Conservative movement’s contribution to land reclamation in Israel.
