The Pinhos Hoffer Prize for 1961 has been awarded by the Jewish Culture Congress to Leibush Lehrer, noted American Jewish educator, for his essays “Man and Ideas,” it was announced here today. The judges for the award were Ioine Gorodisky, president of the Culture Congress, Shlomo Sukowich and the noted poet Kehos Kliger.
