Monsignor John J. Finn of St. John the Evangelist’s Church of Schnectady, today bought $1, 000 in State of Israel Bonds as a demonstration of his friendship for Israel. Announcement of Msgr. Finn’s purchase was made by Mrs. Bernard Golub, 1962 general chairman of the Schnectady Committee for State of Israel Bonds.
In making his purchase, the Roman Catholic leader said: "I am investing in this noble effort because Israel is a democratic government set up primarily as a haven for people who have been persecuted. Its existence guarantees a safe refuge for the future of those people. Its government is wisely managed and its objectives most appealing."
