A group of 140 French Catholics currently touring this country, were given a full day of orientation on Jewish institutions and community life in New York by the American Jewish Committee.

While this group is in the United States primarily to study the workings of the Catholic laity, they spent yesterday at AJC’s Institute of Human Relations for the briefing session on group life of Jews and Jewish religious and cultural institutions. Speakers included Rabbi Marc Tanenbaum, head of the Interreligious Affairs Department; Marshall Sklare, director of the Scientific Research Department; and Milton Himmelfarb, editor of the American Jewish Year Book.
