Yeshiva University opened its 76th academic year today with a record enrolment of 5, 260 students, an increase of five percent over last year’s enrolment. Some 3,000 of the students will be attending the university’s eight undergraduate divisions, with nearly 2,300 enrolled in the nine graduate schools.

At the university’s main center, students will be attending classes for the first time in the new $3,000,000 classroom-administration building completed earlier this year. Part of the university’s $30,000,000 campus development program, the new building contains classrooms, lecture halls, lounges, a book store, lockers and administrative offices.
