After a lull in recent months, immigration rose steadily during January, reaching the highest rate in several years during February, S.Z. Shragai, head of the Jewish Agency’s immigration department reported today.

He made his report at a meeting of the Agency executive at which he said that an increased influx also was expected during March. The executive is meeting throughout the week in preparation for a plenary session which begins March 13 and the World Zionist Actions Committee, ruling body of World Zionism between Congresses, which opens on March 18.
