Admission to the school is open to senior students in major rabbinical seminaries who will be trained to fill vacant positions in Hebrew day schools throughout the country where a shortage of teachers currently exists.

Named for the late treasurer of Torah Umesorah, the Institute offers a two-year program in methods of teaching Hebrew day school subjects and student teaching under the supervision of educators experienced in the field, A Hebrew day school teaching license will be granted by the National Licensing Board of Torah Umesorah upon completion of the course.
