Vice President Johnson Presented with A.d.d. Human Rights Award

The Human Rights Award of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith was presented tonight to Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson for his “vigorous and affirmative activities” as chairman of the President’s Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity.

The award was presented to the Vice President at the Inaugural Dinner of the 1963 ADL Appeal here tonight, which marked the opening of the New York observance of the ADL’s 50th anniversary. The dinner also honored Max J. Schneider, retired vice-president of the Chemical Bank, and long time ADL New York leader.
