Graduates of the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School topped the list of successful candidates in last year’s examinations held by the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Students in the United States, it was reported here today.
The examination, in which 8,180 graduates of 78 universities participated, is required of all graduates of medical schools seeking to engage in post-graduate work in American hospitals. Sixty-one Israel-trained physicians received the highest average score on the entire examination and topped the lists in various individual subjects including basic medical sciences, internal medicine and pediatrics.
