The Supreme Court of Communist East Germany is expected to hand down a verdict Tuesday of a life sentence on Dr. Hans Globke, Secretary of State to West German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer. Dr.Globke, author of a legal commentary on the Hitler era racist Nuremberg laws, was convicted in absentia during a show trial in East Berlin of “war crimes and crimes against humanity. “The life sentence at hard labor was demanded at the end of the trial this weekend.
