The World Mizrachi movement announced here today it would continue the Orthodox campaign against plans for a non-kosher kitchen, to supplement a kosher one, on the SS Shalom, a luxury liner now near completion in France. The Israel Cabinet decided to act on the issue, declaring that it was a matter for the company, Zim-Shoham Lines.

The Mizrachi statement expressed “deep shock” at the attitude of the Government which, the statement noted, holds a majority of the Zim-Shoham stock. The Mizrachi statement said the Orthodox Zionist movement in Israel and abroad would do all it could to defeat the proposal and expressed the hope that all Jews would back that effort.
