A.d.l. Reports Enactment of Anti Discrimination Laws in Nine States

New laws barring racial discrimination in employment, housing, and places of public accommodation have been enacted in nine states during the past two years according to a report on legislative developments in the field of civil rights made public today by the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith. In addition, five states have strengthened existing laws; two have repealed laws prohibiting interracial marriages; and numerous cities have passed civil rights ordinances, the report said.
