An assistant attorney general of the State of New York today won the New York regional Bible Quiz finals and will be the only contestant from the United States to take part in the International Bible Contest to be held in Jerusalem on September 24.

He is Samuel Singer, 57, of Manhattan, who defeated two other finalists in the oral quiz which was held today at the New York World’s Fair. Born in Poland, Mr. Singer came to this country at the age of 14 and has continued an active interest in Bible studies. He will leave Thursday evening for Israel for the international competition.
