Police today began investigating an incident in Aalten, a Dutch village near the German border, in which the walls of a synagogue in the town were found smeared with swastikas and slogans calling for a “Holland Without Jews.” The town’s entire population today voiced indignation over the incident. There are only ten Jewish families in Aalten.
