Minister of the Interior Juan Palmero requested the Ministry of Justice today to probe the activities of members and adherents of a group of neo-fascist, anti-Semitic and Communist organizations. He asked the Justice Ministry to order public prosecutors to seek judicial procedures and punishment of such people.

Mr. Palmero named specifically, among the “extremist” groups, the Nationalist Tacuara Movement, its affiliated Nationalist Union of High School Students, the Juvenile Communist Federation and Guardia Restauradora Nacionalista. In his request to the Justice Ministry, he stated: “It is the duty of the public powers to preserve liberty, strengthen public order, defend the law from those who try to perturb the general peace.”
