Morris Saxe, Founder of Canadian Jewish Farm School, Dies in Toronto

Morris Saxe, pioneer Jewish farm settler in the Province of Ontario, died here this weekend at the age of 86. Born in Russia, he came to Canada in 1902 and was an early advocate of the Jewish “back to the land” movement. He was a founder of the Federated Jewish Farmers of Ontario and of the Canadian Jewish Farm School. He also acted as an advisor to the Canadian Federal Immigration Department on agricultural policies.
