Congress of Central American Writers Protests Soviet Policy on Jews

The First Congress of Central American Writers, representing literary figures in five countries, protested today “the discrimination against cultural freedom which the 3,000,000 Jews in the Soviet Union are going through since the time of Stalin when they were deprived of cultural, religious and ethnic rights.” The congress delegates came from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala.
