Billy Rose, the world famous Jewish theatrical producer, died last night at the age of 66 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, where he had a winter home.

Born William Samuel Rosenberg on New York’s Lower East Side, Mr. Rose began his career as a stenographer to financier Bernard Baruch and subsequently amassed a fortune through his theatrical ventures and his activities in the stock market. He contributed a major portion of his extensive collection of valuable sculptures to the Israel Museum in Jerusalem where a Billy Rose Art Garden was established to house the collection.
