ROME (Oct. 27)
Martin Bormann, first deputy to Adolf Hitler, was again reported here today to be alive, and probably safe in South America.
In an interview published in the Milan weekly, Oggi, Giselle Bormann, a niece of the notorious wartime Nazi, was quoted as saying that her uncle was still alive, and that “he was too much of a coward to kill himself.” She said there were still many Nazis in South America willing to help him to live under a fictitious name. Giselle Bormann is the daughter of the late Richard Bormann, a brother of Martin. She recently settled in Rome.
