Moshe Sneh, Israeli Communist leader and editor of the Communist daily newspaper, Kol Ha’am, has expressed support for Israel’s national independence.
Addressing a weekend mass meeting marking the paper’s 20th anniversary, Mr. Sneh said: “Communism is inseparable from national independence, and a threat against Israel’s independence is a threat against the Israel Communist Party.” Following the party’s split two years ago into separate Jewish and Arab sections, the paper and its editor now represent the Jewish wing of the party.
