Israeli police and army experts pressed a search today for two marauders, believed to be members of an El Fatah terrorist unit, who slipped into the settlement of Kibbutz Givat Haim, south of Hadera on the coastal plain, and detonated explosives in the Gatt cannery there. There were no casualties and the bombs did considerable damage to the factory, forcing a halt in production for several days.

Footprints of two persons were found at the scene, leading to the east. A curfew was imposed on several villages in the area to facilitate the investigation. The cannery employs 500 workers and is one of the largest of its kind in Israel.

Two Nablus Arab policemen were shot today in a cafe in that Arab center. Police attributed the attack to an Arab underground organization seeking to terrorize Arabs and keep them from cooperating with the Israeli authorities.
