Bomb Scare at Premier Eshkol’s Residence Believed to Be a Prank

Three grenades found yesterday near the home of Prime Minister Levi Eshkol, which initially were linked with the current Arab sabotage, were reported today by police to be an obsolete type lacking detonators and incapable of being exploded.

The discovery caused turmoil in the fashionable Rehavia section of Jerusalem, large parts of which were sealed off and searched. Although the hunt for clues continued today, a police spokesman hinted the incident might have been a prank.
