Christian Committee Seeks Funds for UJA in Tucson, Arizona

A committee of leading Christians has been established in this city to obtain support for Tucson’s Combined Jewish Appeal which includes the United Jewish Appeal, the Israel Emergency Fund and the regular budget of the Jewish Community Council. William R. Mathews, editor of the Arizona Daily Star, is chairman of the committee. In a letter to leading residents of the city. Mr. Mathews urged them to “Join us in a demonstration of true Christian brotherhood, fellowship and charity” by contributing to the combined appeal.
