Hundreds of bereaved families and soldiers in uniform attended memorial ceremonies here today for paratroopers killed in action since the Six-Day War started in June, 1967. The gathering was addressed by Maj. Gen. Chaim Bar-Lev, Chief of Staff of Israel’s Armed Forces, who said that casualties increased this past year, “but we shall continue the way we have chosen because we have no other way.” The father of a dead paratrooper kindled a memorial light.
