The United Hias Service has registered 1,175 Czech refugees for emigration, including 495 who have already been assisted to emigrate to other countries, mainly Western European and Canada, the Jewish migration agency reported from Vienna today.

According to Gaynor I. Jacobson, executive vice president, 100 men, women and children have been helped to find new homes in Canada and 365 have resettled in Western Europe. “It is possible, however, that many of the people finding homes in Western Europe, particularly those going to Switzerland where visas have only three months initial validity, may turn to us again for aid,” he said.
