The Constitutional High Court at Karlsruhe will start hearings tomorrow on appeals by defendants in the main Auschwitz trials which were held in Frankfurt and lasted over a year. Several of those convicted however are already free, among them Robert Mulka who was deputy commander of the Auschwitz death camp. The appeal hearings are expected to last several weeks.
