Declaring it was impossible for a trade union member to also be a member of the extremist right-wing National Democratic Party, a union leader said here yesterday that West German unions would continue to fight the party. Gerd Muhr, vice-chairman of the German trade union movement, also told a meeting of the movement that everything should be done to prevent the NPD from entering the Bundestag, West Germany’s lower house, in the forthcoming elections.
