BONN (Jul. 24)
Declaring it was impossible for a trade union member to also be a member of the extremist right-wing National Democratic Party, a union leader said here yesterday that West German unions would continue to fight the party. Gerd Muhr, vice-chairman of the German trade union movement, also told a meeting of the movement that everything should be done to prevent the NPD from entering the Bundestag, West Germany’s lower house, in the forthcoming elections. He criticized the Federal Government for not seeking a ban on the NPD.
