A list of 1,001 candidates for the Histadrut elections, headed by Premier Golda Meir, was approved by the Labor Party Central Committee last night. The list contains 814 Labor Party candidates and 187 candidates of the Mapam party which has entered into a political alignment with Labor.
The names of the candidates were listed in alphabetical order except for the first four–Mrs. Meir, Aharon Becker, the Histadrut secretary-general, Ben Aharon and Shimon Peres, Defense Minister Moshe Dayan’s name was among the “Ds”.
