Czech authorities are assisting in the restoration of Jewish historical landmarks and in the rehabilitation of Jewish cemeteries and other communal facilities, according to reports in the bulletin of the Jewish communities of Bohemia-Moravia. The bulletin said that restoration work has been completed on the Heyduk Synagogue in Bratislava, regarded as one of the most beautiful houses of worship in Czechoslovakia. The kosher kitchen maintained by the Prague Jewish community has been modernized with the help of the City Council and local authorities have provided financial assistance to rebuild the wall around the Jewish cemetery at Poprad, in Slovakia.
