Youth Aliya Expanding Education Program

The Jewish Agency’s Youth Aliya Department has announced an expansion project to provide an education in Israel for children of parents in Western countries who cannot immigrate but who “want to save their offspring from assimilation.” The project will require additional funds from the Jewish Agency, according to Joseph Klarman, chief of the aliya department, who estimated that some 100,000 Jewish children from the U.S. alone can be expected In Israel for at least one year’s studies.
